Description

A giclée fine art print, hand-signed, limited edition artwork by Simon Lee Robson.

This giclée print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308gsm 100% cotton paper, is mounted in an antique silver wood frame and finished with a UV-resistant Perspex cast acrylic glaze, ready to hang.

This artwork is also available to buy as part of a framed set of 2, framed set of 5, and framed set of 7.

Simon Lee Robson's Neon Ancestors | 2025 reimagines the silent skulls of prehuman history as luminous icons of the present. Each work fuses the raw bone forms of our earliest ancestors with the electric glow of contemporary pop art, collapsing millions of years into a single, vivid moment. At the heart of the collection is the original acrylic painting, the pure, unlit ancestor, which leads to its negative (inverted) twin, and then to a series of vibrant neon cousins, each pulsing with its own colour and character. Together, they form a visual lineage that bridges the ancient and the modern. These portraits are not just relics, they are beacons, inviting us to see the origins of humanity lit in a new and unforgettable light.
