In this new 2025 collection I Believe in Your Eyes, Timothy Langton reimagines Portuguese azulejos through a poetic and contemplative lens.

Drawing from his photographs of beautiful, traditional hand-painted tiles adorned with angelic, cherubic, and expressive faces, some marked by damage or missing features, Langton explores themes of beauty, loss, and transcendence.

For this collection, these fragments are presented as framed giclées as well as striking acrylic prisms that create a luminous tension between fragility and beauty.

Timothy Langton

Hailing from the rugged Pennine region of West Yorkshire, England, and now based in Cambridge, Timothy Langton has a background in film and photography, with a keen eye for the quiet poetry found in everyday life and ordinary objects.

Langton also draws on his experience in digital design to create digital art. Driven by a fascination with the uncanny and the beautifully bizarre, his work often explores the mysterious and otherworldly, threaded with subtle narrative.
