Simon Lee Robson’s Ancestor Origins, developed in creative collaboration with Arte Delux, presents the foundational works from which a distinctive visual language takes shape.

Drawing upon the silent skulls of prehuman history, the collection reimagines our earliest ancestors through restrained monochrome, tonal inversion and painterly precision, collapsing vast epochs of human evolution into a singular contemporary vision.

Together, the works establish a deliberate visual dialogue, exploring presence and absence, light and shadow, permanence and transformation, while tracing a passage from bone to signal, from relic to icon.
