Simon Lee Robson’s Ancestor Origins, developed in creative collaboration with Arte Delux, presents the foundational works from which a distinctive visual language takes shape. Drawing upon the silent skulls of prehuman history, the collection reimagines our earliest ancestors through restrained monochrome, tonal inversion and painterly precision, collapsing vast epochs of human evolution into a singular contemporary vision.

Together, the works establish a deliberate visual dialogue, exploring presence and absence, light and shadow, permanence and transformation, while tracing a passage from bone to signal, from relic to icon.

These portraits do not seek to reconstruct the past; they reinterpret it. Ancient forms become enduring symbols, inviting us to reconsider the origins of humanity through a perspective that is both timeless and unmistakably contemporary.

How long will my artwork take to arrive?

For artworks from Simon Lee Robson’s Masterpiece Studies | 2025 collection that cannot be delivered by courier, we provide our personal delivery service within the UK mainland for £150.00 GBP, with delivery within four weeks. For deliveries to Northern Ireland and international destinations, please make an enquiry.

All artworks are carefully and securely packaged to ensure they arrive in pristine condition. Each piece is protected with reinforced cardboard corner guards and an additional layer of cardboard over the surface to minimize any risk of damage. Larger artworks receive extra protection with bubble wrap and are placed in a heavy-duty, rigid, corrugated cardboard box.

Every package reflects our commitment to both the safety of your artwork and our dedication to sustainable, responsible packaging. As far as we are able, we use recyclable, compostable, or recycled materials, and avoid plastics wherever we can. For artworks that require more protection, we use environmentally friendly plastics, such as recyclable bubble wrap.

Every original and limited edition artwork includes a certificate of authenticity, which is included in the package with your artwork or occasionally shipped separately for some limited editions.

Once your purchase is complete, you will receive a confirmation email. One of our art consultants will also follow up with an email to confirm the order, discuss your preferred delivery arrangements, and answer any additional questions you may have.
